I had the honor of being the only one not to get stuck this weekend, but here are some folks who did:

Time to test the new winch!

While at the same time:

You know the trail's a bit narrow, deep, and off-camber when:

Kinja'd!!!

Deceptively steep cause of side mirror mud:

Kinja'd!!!

Just some trails while we paused to figure out the plan of attack for the next obstacles.

Kinja'd!!!

I need my copilot back to get videos of Princess herself in action, or just get my own damn dashcam, but here are two from my phone in the meantime.

The red Rubicon unstuck:

And in the spirit of my !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , you'll always see something special at The Mounds:

Yes, that is a Mountaineer with a jerryrigged snorkel pulling out a Jeep. Pure Michigan!

Not going to lie, every now and again I see explorers with the V6 and a manual and I think those would make a fun little dirt road beater if I stripped it and freed up the V6 to breathe a little. Mad props to the mountaineer.

Looks like much fun. I rarely get those aquatic adventures here. Please tell me that was an OHV area.

Outside Flint, just an hour north of me. Here's their trail map too.

Very cool. And an authorized place, too. Sometimes I miss Michigan. Sometimes.

If you're not getting stuck, you're not trying hard enough.

Accurate! I was definitely taking it easy today, I need it in one piece to tow my bike up to a track day on Friday.

One day I'll have nice things, but until then.... might as well be wreckin' shit and having fun! And if you own a Jeep, it's a crime not to take it out in its natural habit and see what it was really meant for.

Here's a video of the same ORV park on Thanksgiving, which is their busiest day:

I agree with that. My girlfriend is into jeeps and offraoding. I just don't get it. I'd rather have a fast car and feel some G forces

I have a motorcycle for when I am feeling some serious speed, and I'm planning on purchasing some V8 American speed next year, but until then ;)

Haha there you go. I told my girlfriend if she buys her jeep I'm super charging it

I'm personally leery of that because it's just more shit that can break down on you and I already have a list of things to throw money at first, but FWIW the guy in the top picture is planning on throwing a supercharged 3800 in that Jeep.
